The arrondissement of Carcassonne is an arrondissement of France in the Aude department in the Languedoc-Roussillon région. Its INSEE code is 111 and its capital city is Carcassonne.
It is the northernmost and largest of the arrondissements of the department, with an area of . In 2012, it has 161,254 inhabitants and a density of inhabitants/km².
The main cities, in 2012, in the arrondissement are Carcassonne (47,068 inhabitants), Castelnaudary (11,748 inhabitants) and Trèbes (5,280 inhabitants).〔

When the Aude department was created on 17 February 1800, the arrondissement of Carcassonne was part of that original department.
